Peace Out Punta Mita, Hello Huatulco.

img_2488To avoid having to go through the hassle of getting a cab and paying a bunch to get to the airport, I asked Johnny if he could get one of his friends to take me to the airport. I’d rather give the money to one of his friends than some random cab driver. Johnny had to go into town to get a new sim for his phone anyway, so he was able find someone with a car and head there with us.

I got to the airport with plenty of time and checked my luggage. I forgot that I booked business class because it was only 20 bucks more after having to check my boards. I had to fly through Mexico city so I had two flights in business class to Huatulco. I felt pretty classy. I landed in Huatulco early and the driver hadn’t arrived yet. I small talked with the cab drivers that were waiting at the arrivals exit and was able to get one of them to call the driver. After hopping in the car, it took about 2 hours to get to Punta Conejo.

After getting situated, I walked over to the bar (where most meals were eaten because there was a tv and booze) and met a guy named Dan. I found out that it was just him and I at the resort for the next day. He gave me the low down and told me that the surf guide would be there at 6am and we’d head out around 6:30. I wolfed down my dinner and called it a night pretty excited to hear that the surf was pumping.
